This is purely a security update for the Mail app exploit which impacted all iPhones. Note: Apple has also released iOS 12.4.7 for older devices. This is not an iPadOS-focused guide, but I will touch upon pertinent issues in these guides. IPad owners, Apple has moved you to a new dedicated platform: iPadOS. But owners of iPhones not supported by iOS 13 may be out of luck. I suspect Apple will now be tempted to issue an iOS 13.5.1 update to patch this security hole (presuming they know what it is). For the jailbreak community this is obviously great news, but the jailbreak was achieved through the confirmation of a zero-day vulnerability which affects every version of iOS since iOS 11. So lookout for a mass of app updates on your iPhone today)Ġ5/24 Update: unc0ver has made good on its promise to jailbreak iOS 13.5 releasing a new jailbreak just days after Apple put out its iPhone update. (05/25 Edit: a server side fix has now been released by Apple to address this, it works by prompting all the affected apps to reinstall. As such, while annoying, this bug is not a showstopper and I would still advise you upgrade for the important (and potentially life saving) benefits this update brings. The error seemingly stems from the Family Sharing Feature, but can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the affected apps. Affected users receive the message: "This app is no longer shared with you" and many have taken to Twitter to complain to the official account. 05/23 Update: as more iPhone owners have updated their devices, a new iOS 13.5 problem has arisen with popular apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and more refusing to load.
